Hey there, didn't notice you, just kidding! Lets discuss my table of contents page, here check it out next to my magazine cover,
If there is one thing they got, I can tell you it's that they are flashy!! Obviously the tech and computer field is one based on code and high tech equipment, unfortunately I don't have 10 million dollars for a quantum computer or some similarly impressive technology that I can take an original photo of.
What I do have however is intermediate design skills. Here is my inspiration for the table of contents,
There are many layouts, but I really enjoyed the simplicity and effectiveness of this layout. Everything in my table of contents is original, you can see the table of contents made with the simple use of text and basic fonts that use size hierarchy to make for a smooth and visually pleasing ux. The theme of this magazine is around computer science, technology, and coding, so there are some programming references here, such as html opening (<>) and closing tags (</>) as well as a javascript object (example{ };) I also added some triangles for a minimalistic but appealing way to add some filler to the page, I added no pictures here, because the main focus of the table of contents is to find where you wanna go, you don't see dictionary books with pictures after all.
The magazine interior content page is drastically different from the front cover and that is intentional as the front cover is meant to attract the viewer, while the content page and for that matter the entirety of the interior magazine is meant to be read for information, so naturally if everything was colored green it would make it more difficult to read, while blue, purple, and black are easier colors to view and read. I wrote the table of contents to cover 12 pages of the magazine and to detail the location of each subheading for an effective table of contents. All text was written by me and font stylings were provided by Canva.
Thanks for Reading!!
